Boyle Scouts - New Group Badge

Our New Group Badge has arrived!!

Earlier this year we ran a design competition asking our Youth Members to come up with ideas and designs for a Group Badge which would reflect our Boyle location and historically, our 2 Troops - 1st Roscommon and 11th Roscommon. The response was excellent with some great ideas and concepts put forward by all Sections.
We wish to thank everyone that took part in our design competition and would like to congratulate Sophie Quinn (Scout Section) on her winning design. We would also like to thank Enda Moran (Scout Section Leader) for his vital assistance with the graphics for the final Badge.

The Badge design is based on the Gaelic Chieftan which is now synonymous with Boyle and the N4 Curlew bypass. The design around the badge is a Celtic 3 plait border circle. The blue and red are the colours of our 1st Roscommon Neckerchief while the maroon and yellow are the colours of our 11th Roscommon Neckerchief.

Lough Keel Scout County Cub Challenge Day

Our 2 Cub teams (Monday night and Tuesday night) did us proud in the County Cub Challenge held in Lough Keel Scout Campsite on Saturday last. Well done to all Cubs and Leaders on a tremendous effort put in.
