Lough Gara Riding Stables, Sunday 13th February

On Sunday last, our Monday Cubs alongside our Tuesday Beavers and Cubs had a great day in Lough Gara Riding Stables. They spent the day not only just Horse Riding but also enjoying some Archery, Shooting, Falconry and the newly built Assault Course. Many thanks to Jimmy, Adrien and their staff for looking after everyone so well. Also to Ronan and Daniel Cox for making sure nobody went hungry. A few photos from the day are below.

Tus Maith, County Hike 13th February 2011 (formerly Peak 2000)

Below are a few pics taken on the Tus Maith event on Sunday 13th Febraury. A great turnout, in excess of 250 from around Lough Keel Scout County were in attendance on what was a very well organised event. The weather held good and everyone from Beaver to Leader had an enjoyable day. Much thanks and appreciation to the Carrick Leaders who organised and ran the event and to "Chef Martin" (Longford Leader) who had food and refreshments flowing in abundance for all the hikers as they returned to base.
