XBox One Winners - 12 Days of Christmas Sellers Prize

Cub Christmas Party - Tuesday 15th December

Fantastic evening was held for our Cub Christmas Party.
We had 'Play your Cards Right' with lots of prizes, as well as a Quiz, Disco, Fun and Games.

Beaver Christmas Party - Monday 14th December

Santa came to visit our Monday and Tuesday Beaver Sections at their Annual Christmas Party, bringing lots of sweets and chocolates for everyone.

Thanks to all the Leaders involved in preparing the Den for Christmas and especially to Liam Kerins for his time and patience once again, in bringing Santa to visit our Beavers.

Venture Section

Some of the 1st/11th Roscommon Ventures attended Santa Days in Castlesaunderon, all decked out as elves and one leader as the Grinch. They attended last weekend to build the workshop and this weekend were working as santas helpers. Great time was had by all.

Scout Shop – Boyle Scout Den – 25th November 6.00 – 8.00 pm
The Scout Shop will be in Boyle in Boyle Scout Den on Wednesday 25th November from 6.00 to 8.00 pm.
Any Beaver/Cub/Scout/Venture whom requires any part of Uniform should try to avail of this service on the day and in doing so avoid delivery charges for online orders.
All items of Uniform will be available to view and purchase.

RTE Filming in the Sports Complex
Rte were filming in the sports complex this week for a slot in the winning streak programme. Some of our leaders, Cubs and Beavers were in attendance along with some of the other clubs and groups that use the complex. The Complex has been in receipt of Lottery funds.

Farmaphobia, Co Meath. First event of the venture calendar - 25th October

VENTURES - From being slammed into a meat locker to meeting someone with no face to screaming in the corn fields, Farmaphobia made ventures and leaders alike jump, scream and laugh. Totally recommend this. To be done again.

Boyle Scouts - Registration Night


Registration Night for all New and Existing members will be held on Wednesday 23rd September between 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm in the Scout Den.
All Parents who wish to enrol a child for the coming year, must please register them on this night.
The minimum age is strictly 6 years old.
Please note that while we are accepting registration of New Members, places will be dependent on returning member numbers and therefore cannot be immediately guaranteed. Weekly meetings will resume the following week, beginning Monday 28th September. Anyone who may be interested in becoming a Leader in any of the Sections would be most welcome and can contact the Group Leader on 086 8360222 or any Leader for further details.

National Cub Challenge - Castle Saunderson 28/29 March 2015

Our Monday Cub Team keeping their spirits up despite the wet and windy weather in Castle Saunderson this evening at the National Cub Challenge. The weekend will test Cub Teams from all over the country on their Scouting skills through various challenges and activities.

Lough Keel Scout County Cub Scouts Challenge Day - Ballinamore 8th February

Well done to our 2 teams of Cubs who took part in the Cub Scouts County Challenge on Sunday 8th February in Ballinamore. Our team from Monday Cubs finished a very credible 2nd in the competition, with our team from Tuesday Cubs doing us all very proud also.
The Challenge Day tested a variety of Cub skills, including Tent Pitching, Campcraft, Cooking on Trangias, First Aid and Pioneering.
Well done to all involved and to their Leaders in preparing them for the event.

Cub/Scout Trip to National Aquatic Centre - Sunday 18th January

Depart from Scout Den at 8.30 am sharp
Return to Scout Den at 7.30 pm

Items Required: Swimming gear, Towel, Swim Hat, €1 coin for locker, Packed Lunch and drink.

Everyone must wear their Boyle Neckerchief, otherwise they may not be allowed to travel.

Pocket Money is optional, within reason!
Time will be allowed for shopping, purchasing additional food.
